Can't we all just get along
It's election time and...well...I guess we'll find out who the next President is going to be. Part of me wants to say that if x candidate wins, I'd want to move elsewhere - but I don't know if that's the right mindset to have. Namely because no matter who wins, things may still be pretty crappy overall. I will say though, being somebody who desires that people just get along with each other, this election is tough to watch since everything has become so polarized and extreme on either end.
I continue to look into the possibilities of moving, and apparently, there are language schools that you can go and do while paying a set amount of money. It's not cheap by any means, but that would be something desirable...however, I don't know if that'd be the best bet since I'd only expect to spend about 1 year there. Something to think about and plan for financially if it happens, but that's why I've got 1 year to figure something out (or not and just abandon the idea altogether).
At this point, there are numerous things that must happen in the exact time frame and way that it should happen in order for this whole move abroad thing to occur. And I'd say the biggest factors aren't actually in my control - so while there is a freedom in that, there's also a longing or a sadness at a potential missed opportunity. AKA fomo. Yeah, definitely have that.
Welp, let's see how things turn out. Hopefully 1 year from now things will be a lot clearer in regards to how I'm feeling about work, purpose in life, and getting to the root cause of this desire to do something different.
